    Add this one to my holiday shopping list

    flame-2tNothing says romance and passion like the smell of flame broiled meat which is why Burger King has released their own line of perfume and launched http://www.firemeetsdesire.com.  From what I can tell this latest ad campaign is a followup to the 2004 online hit Subservient Chicken.

    Slightly creepy but good to see them continuing to try new marketing ideas.

      I can’t tell if I’m turned on or just hungry.

    Starbucks = less Venti

    I am hoping this means all those busy intersections with a choice of 3 Starbucks within 100 yards of each other will be coming to an end soon.

    On the flip side, as someone who doesn’t sleep as much as he should (father of two kids with a busy career) Starbucks has become my daily crack fix. I am comfortable saying “Grande 3 pump Soy Chai Latte” to the 19 year old at the counter with a nose piercing followed up by forking over $5.

    While I am pretty sure their drinks will be the cigarettes of my generation (“We had no idea they were killing us”) I can’t help but feel a little sad that things are not going so well for them.

    Well, at least they aren’t closing the store by me.

    All reviews should be this good…..

    Recently, I stumbled upon one of the greatest review sites I have seen in some time. Actually, it is a section of the site The Escapist called “Zero Punctuation”. Granted, the reviews are of video games (something I know little about) but regardless both the rapid-fire dialog (the name is not kidding) and the X rated, clunky animation that plays along are hilarious.

    The creator of these editorials is Ben “Yahtzee” Croshaw who Wikipedia describes as “is the British-born author of adventure games”. Way too geeky for me but, hey, I don’t have a Wikipedia page and this guy does. Come to think of it, I can do something about that……
